POSE: PATTERNING THOROUGH ANCIENT CHINESE AESTHETIC 2025
This is a project that explore the relation between pattern making, body, and traditional culture elements.
The project aims to first explore and investigate how the new dividing and distorting body sections inspired by ancient Chinese female body aesthetics can influence creative pattern cutting methods through practice, then apply this exploration and investigation to practice to generate a theory of how to creatively cut patterns.
A series of new body sections was been created to allowing the patterns break the convetional rules.
